George Washington

Today I learned about George Washington. He was the son of a Virginia planter, became the leader of the armies of the United States in the Revolutionary War. At the close of the war, after he had helped to make America free, he was elected our first President. His name stands today among those of the greatest men in history of the world. The life of George Washington shows us that God will honor those who honor Him.

Thay raised Liberty poles as a sign that thay wanted freedom.Thay tried hard to work things out so that there would not be war.
