George Washington
Today I learned about George Washington. He was the son of a Virginia planter, became the leader of the armies of the United States in the Revolutionary War. At the close of the war, after he had helped to make America free, he was elected our first President. His name stands today among those of the greatest men in history of the world. The life of George Washington shows us that God will honor those who honor Him.

Cool. I have a really good book about George Washington that I use to read to my second graders. Maybe I can find it while you are in Iowa and I can let you borrow it.

ReplyDeleteGrandpa says that he would like to have a lot of George Washington's since he is on the one dollar bill.
Grandma says did you know that George Washington was schooled by his father and oldest brother and his formal education ended when he was 15 years old?
